Lodging
Student cadets will be housed in enclosed, climate-controlled barracks that have rooms or open bays with bunk beds, located on the Fort Dix side of JBDML, Building 5989 between Doughboy Loop and New Jersey Avenue. This is a large 3-story barracks building that can accommodate approximately 370 students and cadre (see illustration below). The barracks have central open/group showers and restrooms with integrated day rooms and study rooms. The staff intends to construct partitions to provide more privacy for showering. Each student will be provided with a mattress, mattress cover, pillow, set of drawers and hanging rod/shelf.
Senior/cadet cadre will be housed in similar rooms and/or open bay barracks. Senior cadre will be assigned separate rooms in barracks to ensure that adult supervision is maintained throughout the encampment, but in a manner that provides privacy between seniors/cadets. Senior and cadets will use separate assigned restrooms/showers.
